Sacramento Recovery House - 1914 Twenty-Second Street, Sacramento, Ca 95816

Sacramento Recovery House (SRH) is a state licensed and certified residential treatment program for men in the early stages of recovery from alcohol and or drug abuse.  SRH provides social rehabilitation services in an alcohol and drug free environment to men who desire to develop a clean and sober lifestyle.  SRH's program benefits the individual, his family and the community by returning him to society as a responsible and productive citizen.

SRH is a Social Model Program.  Social Model is client driven and based on the disease concept and that the disease is treatable.  Education is needed so that the individual can be well informed about the illness and assist in self care.  Rehabilitation measures (the 12 steps) are initiated to prompt the necessary life changes.  Family involvement is is critical so the family can be informed and can deal with the impact that the chronic illness has on their lives.  SRH provides 24 hours per week of structured groups and classes.  Group sessions are led by either staff or qualified volunteers.  SRH has a weekly outpatient meeting for all who have participated in the program.  Each resident is encouraged to obtain a 12 step sponsor to assist the client in learning to reach out and know that help is always there.
